CpG
focuses on diseases that are either of current public-health concern in developing
countries or are expected to become major public-health concerns in the near future.
Further, CpG pursues the strategy that identification of genes and gene-variants
can be carried out more effectively in genetically and environmentally homogeneous
population groups.
