Posted on: May 19. 2010 Project Assistant Required (2 Positions) We are immediately looking forward to hiring TWO (2) Project Assistants to work in projects funded by DBT (Govt. of India). The projects aim at training students who posses MSc Degree in any branch of Life Sciences from an accredited University and in the process contribute towards completion of the projects in time. Position 1: The candidate will be required to work on a DBT project awarded to Dr. Surajit Ganguly. The duration of the project is for 3 years and the position is renewable every year based on the performance of the candidates. Though fresh MSc candidates will be considered, preference will be given to candidates who have hands-on experience in lab techniques such as cell culture techniques, gel electrophoresis, western blotting, PCR, DNA and RNA Isolation and analysis; enzymology and metabolic enzyme assays. Delhi-NCR based candidates preferred and a consolidated salary of Rs.14,000 per month will be provided. Position 2: The candidate will be required to work on a DBT project awarded to Dr. Sudeshna Kar. The duration of the project is for 2 years and the position is renewable every year based on the performance of the candidate. Suitable candidates can also be considered for registration in PhD program in future. Preference will be given to candidates who have at least 6 months of hands-on experience in lab techniques such as cell culture techniques, gel electrophoresis, western blotting, and fluorescence microscopy.
